Sweet or Savoury waffles? Your pick, as The waffle house menu is split into two sections offering waffles you've most likely never seen before. The family run business is located in the historic filled city of St Albans, Hertfordshire. The venue features indoor and outdoor seating with an admirable watermill at the entrance.


Hot Dutch Apple.



Ever been asked whether you want your waffles to be white or wholemeal made? Well The Waffle House offers these options before you order for those who are picky or trying to maintain their diet. The menu consist of many choices from waffles topped with hot dutch apple and vanilla ice cream to waffles topped with hummus and avocado. A special menu with different waffles and drinks is available on the day too.

Affogato

The Hot dutch apple topping couples perfectly with the scoop of vanilla ice cream and every bite is a confusion of hot and cold to sweet and fruity joy. (£5.85)

Affogato ('drowned' in Italian); a scoop of vanilla ice cream coupled with a shot of hot espresso. Great option for coffee lovers wanting something different. (£3.45)

The chefs seem to have nailed it with the waffle recipe as they are crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. Prices range from £4-6 for the sweet waffles and £7-10 for the savoury however all waffles are generously topped-so indulgent group sharing is a possibility.



As a well established restaurant, queues and good weather correlate greatly. Parking is free and there's a plenty of it. If you ever find your self near St Albans; The Waffle House is somewhere you definitely want to have on you're to go list.
